Did You Know?
Halloween has its roots in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain? Celebrated over 2,000 years ago, Samhain marked the end of the harvest and the start of winter. Celts believed that on this night, the boundary between the living and the dead was blurred, and spirits could roam the earth. To ward off these spirits, they would light bonfires and wear costumes to disguise themselves from ghosts. This ancient festival is where many of our modern Halloween traditions come from, like dressing up in costumes and lighting pumpkins!
